Confabulations: Art Practice, Art History, Critical Medical Humanities is a two-year series of monthly online events leading up to an edited volume of texts, artworks, and documentation of artworks, to be published with Bloomsbury Academic in the series Critical Interventions in the Medical and Health Humanities.
We are currently inviting expressions of interest for the edited volume. Please submit an approximately 250-word abstract of your proposed contribution, a short CV, and, if appropriate, audio or visual documentation. Collaborative submissions are very much encouraged. Expressions of interest should be sent before Wednesday 31st May 2023 to: Dr Fiona Johnstone (fiona.r.johnstone@durham.ac.uk), Dr Allison Morehead (morehead@queensu.ca), and Dr Imogen Wiltshire (iwiltshire@lincoln.ac.uk).
The anticipated timeline for the volume is as follows:
- CFP closes: 31st May 2023
- Deadline for final contribution titles and abstracts: 30 June 2023.
- Deadline for first complete draft of contributions: 1 March 2024.
- Deadline for final complete draft of contributions: 1 July 2024.
- Submission of final manuscript to Bloomsbury: mid-August 2024.
- Anticipated publication date: mid-2025.
